The Securities & Derivative Analyst 1 is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities:
Provide back office functions support such as Trade Settlement, Shares Transfer / Scrip Conversion, and Equity Linked Notes settlement.
Sundry / Cash / Deferred / Nostro / Operating Account reconciliation.
Perform investigation for daily and monthly positions holdings.
Perform daily check for failed trades report / FRD positive report / failed accounting entries report and other trade settlement related reports.
Timely handling of transactions, meeting and exceeding the Service expectation with internal and external clients.
Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to resolve complex problems.
Uses professional judgment, discretion, and business expertise to resolve varied and complex issues that have notable impact on the business.
Risk / Control functions such as CBORC / MCA / COB / etc.
Provide Ops support during Singapore Public Holiday.
Ad-hoc duties as and when needed.
Qualifications:
Having at least 2 years of working experience in operations processing Wealth / Investment products.
Knowledge and experience of Trade settlements, Equity Linked Notes, Shares Transfer / Scrip Conversions for Equities will be added advantage.
The incumbent should be a dynamic, positive and resourceful individual.
They will be expected to be self-motivated and have an active approach to problem resolution.
Must be flexible and possess the ability to successfully react to workload changes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Must possess the ability to work well under pressure, be able to manage tight deadlines and situations where conflicting priorities arise on a daily basis.
Responsible, organized and able to multitask
