Great America, LLC/dba/Six Flags Great America is looking to fill OfficeClerk positions at its amusement park located at 542 N. Route 21,Gurnee, IL 60031. Phone (847)249-1776. These are temporary, full timepositions and we are looking to fill approximately 5 job openings from04/01/2025 to 11/09/2025.
Job duties include Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, orforward calls, providing information, taking messages, or schedulingappointments. Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature andpurpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.Receive payment and record receipts for services. Schedule appointmentsand maintain and update appointment calendars. Transmit information ordocuments to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software)to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or processinformation. Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining informationfrom all relevant sources. Performing for people or dealing directlywith the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants andstores, and receiving clients or guests. Providing information tosupervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form,e-mail, or in person. Analyzing information and evaluating results tochoose the best solution and solve problems. Collect deposits, paymentsor fees. Analyze operational or research data.
Employer is offering at least 35 hours a week at $18.16/hr. Mon-Sun,8:00AM - 8:00PM. Days and shifts will vary. Holidays, weekends, andevenings required as needed. Overtime is paid at a rate of $27.24/hrfor working greater than 40 hours in any given week. Employer isoffering up to 15 hours of overtime available per week, as needed, butnot guaranteed. Employer reserves the right to pay a higher wage, rate,or bonus to any worker, in there sole discretion, based on performance,skill, tenure, or experience. First 3 weeks of employment will includeat least 35 hours per week of paid on the job training.
Job Requirements: No minimum education, training, or experiencerequired. You must be outgoing, professional, and friendly demeanor,computer experience required, strong time management, organizational,teamwork and leadership skills required, strong verbal and writtencommunication skills required, available to work flexible hoursincluding nights, weekends, and holidays.
Transportation: If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period,the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation andsubsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Uponcompletion of the work contract or where the workeris dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workersreasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home orto the place the worker originally departed to work, except where theworker will not return due to subsequent employment with anotheremployer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workersvoluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportationpayment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical andreasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistencewill be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximumof $59.00 per day with receipts.
Housing: Optional Employer Housing is provided to the worker at a costof $171.67/week.
Tools, supplies and equipment: Employer will provide workers at nocharge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
Other Employment Guarantees: A single workweek will be used forcomputing wages due and workers will be paid every week. The employerwill make all payroll deductions requir d by law and will not make anydeductions, which are not required by law. If an employee chooses tolive in employer housing $171.67/wk will be payroll deducted forhousing expenses. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweekfor all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related feesincluding those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees),incurred by the H-2B worker.
