Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following: * Assesses patient's ability tosafely and effectively perform occupational skills. Designs theappropriate planof care, including type and frequency of treatment. * Implements the treatment plan usingappropriate modalities. * Documents subjective and objective findings of patient progress. Monitors andmodifiesthe plan of care as needed. Seeksconsultationas necessary. * Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. * Plans and/orassistswith patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting. Provides information regardingappropriate selection/useof adaptive equipment and support programs.
