MORE ABOUT THE OT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST POSITION:
CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for thisOccupational Therapistopportunity include, but are not limited to:
Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations
Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants. Supervises OT and COTA students in the application of theory and techniques of Occupational Therapy. Assists with new staff orientation. Supervises students or other staff members competently.
Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions, as needed
Completes appropriate documentation according to Department policy and procedures.
Participates in discharge planning for each patient including placement, patient/family education and adaptive equipment.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of occupational therapy services
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE OT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST:
Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Successful completion of the National Certification Examination
2 yearsof verifiable, supervised professional experience within the last 3 years required
BLS issued by the AHA
Valid OT license in Florida
