  Job Summary:

  Pratt & Whitney Hot Section Engineering (HSE) is seeking a proactive, goal oriented, and detail-focused project engineer to work on either Commercial or Military engine program supporting the future of the P&W engine business for decades to come. In this role you'll be responsible for program task execution on the HSE hardware. You will perform the following task, planning and scheduling engineering changes as well as plan and manage budget for all hardware and tasks.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Identify and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.

  Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.

  Prepare/present status and technical content to HSE Leadership, CIPT, and Pratt & Whitney Upper Management.

  Initiate and manage hardware procurement/industrial effort as the engineering technical contact.

  Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information.

  Basic Qualifications:

  BS in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).

  8+ years of engineering experience, or 5+ years of engineering experience with an advance degree.

  Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.

  Experience working in the Aerospace Industry, specifically gas turbine engines, is highly desirable.

  Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations, and management.

  Excellent communication skills, including verbal, technical writing, and engineering presentations to all levels.

  Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project / scheduling software.

  Working knowledge of project management.

  Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

  Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

  This requisition is eligible for an employee referral award. ALL eligibility requirements must be met to receive the referral award.

  The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
