Assembler I SVC at TSI/ QuestTechnologies Under supervision, an Assembler I is expected to build,repair and calibrate assigned instruments. the Assembler I (SVC) may beassigned to perform basic soldering, mechanical assembly, building newinstrument from specifications or service responsibilities. They must bewilling and able to perform a variety of duties (rotate) within theassigned production/service areas (cells) as required. Employees will berequired to complete specific objectives and/or gain additional skillsbefore moving to an Assembler II (SVC) position. What Will You Do? Inorder to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will beresponsible for: * Under general supervision, performs assembly/serviceoperations at a work station or bench using basic hand tools * Worktogether with assigned group to complete production orders by theexpected date. * May do hand soldering, work under microscopes, and/ ordo rework and repairs on standard assemblies. * Perform calibrationsand variables testing requiring judgment to assure conformance tospecifications. * May sign off for certification of instruments *Perform troubleshooting and repairs with assistance. * Perform standardand non-standard setups exercising judgment in making adjustments anddocumenting changes. * Verify part quality. * Use keyboard andcomputer terminal to enter data into the SAP screens as required. *Actively participate in process improvement and recommend changes tomanufacturing procedures. * Perform daily organization and cleanup ofwork area. * Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditionsto supervisor. * Build sub assemblies which require multiple peopleworking on it or build a new instrument from the beginning to end. *Other duties as assigned. What Do You Need? Required Education * HighSchool diploma or equivalent is required. Experience * Minimum of oneyear experience in a production/manufacturing environment. Requiressoldering and/or microscope experience. Some cells will requireadditional and/or specific types of assembly experience. Example: smallparts mechanical assembly, high volume assembly, sensor mounting.Desired Knowledge * Basic computer skills including the ability tocheck reports and record information. Entry level SAP. * Ability totrain others on standard procedures and assemblies. * Proficient ataddition, subtraction, multiplication, and making measurements. *Proficient at reading instructions and procedures. * General workingknowledge of measuring devices and test equipment.
