　　REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

　　Bachelor's degree in related field. No experience required.

　　JOB SUMMARY:

　　Nutritionist I provides nutritional information and services to patients, families, and interest

　　groups.

　　MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:

　　• Plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates nutritional programs.

　　• Develops and implements plan of care and correlates with other health services.

　　• Evaluates patient's nutritional care and provides follow-up continuity of care.

　　• Instructs patients and families in nutritional principles, diet, food selection and economics.

　　• Provides consultation to and works with community groups.

　　• Maintains records of all individuals counseled.

　　• Adheres to internal controls established for department.

　　• Performs related duties as required.

　　Travel or floating to other locations

　　Yes, position requires travel for training and coverage and thus, candidate must be willing to travel.

　　Nights or weekends

　　Nights and weekends possible. Must be will to work until at least 6 pm for clinic hours, with flexibility if client needs require later or weekends

　　Preference

　　Spanish speaking is preferred, but not required.
