  Salary: $23.07 per hour/Range 25Additional salary credit may be given for internal transfers and recentGreeley-Evans School District 6 rehires, up to $36.99 per hour.

  Contract Length/ Days: (2023-2024/ 260 Days)

  EDUCATION/EXPERIENCERequired Education and ExperienceBachelor s Degree in a related field or any other combination of relatededucation, experience and training.Current Colorado Driver s License.ServSafe Certification, within 6 months of hire.SNA Certification or Credentialing within 1 year of hire.Meet current district vehicle insurance qualifications for driving coverage.Preferred:Knowledge of large quantity food preparation and health department standardsof sanitary food practices.

  JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary/Objective: Functions as a working specialist providing employeesupport to ensure that Nutrition Services employees have the tools andresources necessary to be successful in their job roles. Performs operationalactivities including- employee training; meal prep supervision andevaluation; implementation of USDA regulations and food and employee safetypractices.

  Essential Functions:50% of Job- Training - Develop and coordinate training and mentoring methodsto support Nutrition Services employees in all aspects of their kitchen work(with specific focus on newly hired employees). Set goals with individualemployees toward specific improvements. Plan, support and help implement allemployee training and engagement events for the department.30% of Job- Program Operations - Handle day-to-day operation questions fromkitchen staff. Understand, implement and monitorUSDA/state/local/district/departmentalregulations/policies/procedures for Child Nutrition Programs and otherprograms offered by the Nutrition Services Department. Maintains currentknowledge of nutrition related technology platforms and provides support withfunctions such as- ordering; inventory; meal production; and meal claiming.20% of Job- Communication & Collaboration - Works closely with NutritionArea Supervisors, Nutrition Resources Facilitator, and Nutrition Employee& Family Resources Specialist to ensure a solid system of support totrain, engage, and retain employees. Uses positive verbal and non-verbalskills at all times when working with district personnel and community members.

  Additional Qualifications/Competencies:Basic knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and practicespertinent to this position.Effective problem solving and decision-making skillsAbility to follow and understand oral and written instructions.Ability to deal tactfully with the public and staff.Ability to respond under pressure to immediate situations while maintainingcourteous and professional relationships with the public and staff.Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy, consistency, andthoroughness.Ability to make decisions using good judgment and common sense.Ability to follow established safety practices.Ability to work independently and with others.Good math skills.Ability to work in diverse communities with focus on, but not exclusivelyHispanic, lo -income, at risk populations.Basic computer skills (G Suite, Social Media and web platforms).Excellent oral and written communication skills.Uses positive verbal and non-verbal skills at all times when working withdistrict personnel and community members.

  Work Environment:May work in a large-scale kitchen setting.May work in moderate to extreme weather conditions.May have exposure to visual display screens.Work within a warehouse climate with cement floors.May work in conditions such as fumes, noxious odors, dust.Changes in temperature from freezing in the freezer to extreme heat from theovens.Changes in weather climates, outside driving, and inside warehouse.Fluorescent lighting.
