Summary:
We're looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and strategiccommunications professional with exceptional writing skills and a flexiblemindset. As a proposal writer, you will be at the center of creatinghigh-impact content to increase Barr's visibility and engagement withclients and other key audiences. In addition to developing proposalstrategies, you'll write, edit, and design persuasive proposals andpresentations in collaboration with engineers, scientists, and fellowbusiness development and communications specialists. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English, communications, marketing, or related field
Five years of relatedexperience
Experience writing proposals or other forms of persuasive communicationsincluding technical or complex information
Superb written communication, editing, and proofreading skills
Attentiveness to details and deadlines
Strong project-management and organizational skills
Advanced ability to serve as a strategic communications advisor and leadthrough influence
Working knowledge of graphic-design and document-design principles
Experience or ability to develop content in multiple formats such as video,social media, web content, or infographics
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel software
Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need forsponsorship from Barr, now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
Five or more years of proposal writing and management experience
Experience working in content management systems
Digital marketing experience
Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Prezi, Illustrator, Acrobat,and/or MS Project software
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 platforms, including SharePoint Onlineand MS Teams
Advanced document-design and graphic-design skills
Technical editing experience
Photography experience
A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid workarrangement refers to splitting time worked between a Barr office and a homeoffice. This position can be based out of Barr's Ann Arbor, Bismarck,Denver, Duluth, Grand Rapids, Hibbing, Jefferson City,Minneapolis, and Salt Lake City offices.

Compensation:
The anticipated base salary range for this position is$68,000-$85,000/year. Compensation will vary based on experience,education, skill level, and other compensable factors. Employees in thisposition may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus. Our compensationcomes in more ways than traditional base salary, and we believe that whenall those elements are combined, our compensation is a competitive part ofthe total value proposition of working at Barr.
