　　GENERAL SUMMARY:

　　Shift will be a total of 24 hours

　　The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

　　The Specialty/Invasive NP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families.

　　Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care.

　　Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently.

　　Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience.

　　Works in one of the following departments: Cardiovascular Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ICU, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Surgery, Urgent Care, Urology.

　　An ideal candidate would be empathetic, patient and have strong relationship-building skills. Should be a team player and collaborator among multi-disciplinary team. A good candidate would be organized and able to coordinate care among different obesity treatments including weight management, obesity medicine and bariatric surgery. Provider will spend a majority of time counseling patient .

　　A preferred candidate would have a background in nutrition, exercise or behavior modification, or other health-based science and/or a background with GI or family practice.

　　Bariatric surgery, obesity medicine and weight management departments are part of this position for obesity treatment. This position will be an extension of our multidisciplinary team.

　　EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in nursing.

　　CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

　　Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner.

　　Current State license as a Registered Nurse.

　　Current BLS.

　　Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.

　　-OR- Requires a bachelor's degree; completion of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program; licensure as a Physician Assistant.
