The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.ShiftMonday-Friday 8am-5pm, may require some holidays.Job SummaryThe Nurse Manager Ambulatory will supervise all nursing staff and other clinical support staff functions in the Markey Cancer Center multidisciplinary clinic. Ensuring resources are managed appropriately, as well as ensuring quality patient care, are essential job duties for this position.This includes: initiating actions for resolutions, maintaining nursing standards of care and participating in updating policies and procedures related to cancer care. In addition, this position will: be responsible for ensuring adequate nursing staff and clinical support staff are available to care for patients, work with staff to develop schedules and coverage plans, and act as a clinical and systems resource for staff.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will be an experienced RN, hold a BSN, and have leadership and management experience in a healthcare setting. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have efficient skills in MS Windows, Word, Outlook, Clinical applications. Experience with staff scheduling, performance improvement activities, quality outcomes, service, and teambuilding.
