Position Summary Responsible for driving themobile vehicle and transporting the mobile staff in a safe and efficientmanner. Will demonstrate competencies and must work efficiently aspossible in order to reach collection goals established for each mobilelocation while also following all Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs)and departmental policies. Responsibilities Transport staff, equipmentand supplies in accordance with SOP. Drive company vehicle in a safemanner. Load/Unload and set-up and tear down equipment at the mobilesite. Pack supplies and equipment for mobile drives. Prepares blood andspecimen tubes for transport and storage. Keeps a tally of units ofblood and clots donated at mobile sites. Greets and treats donors andco-workers with respect and courtesy. Conducts donor registration.Responsible for converting eligible donors to Double Cell collections.Observes all work rules and procedures established, which provides forthe safety and efficiency of Mobile and Center operations. Reports donorreactions or any other unusual incidents to the Team Leader. Stationedat the refreshment area to note and assist with donor reactions. Can beappointed to escort donors (especially at High Schools) to refreshmentarea and assist with reaction by ensuring donor safety by guiding donorto the floor, reports incident to Team leader or Phlebotomist for donortreatment.
