　　Apex Systemsis currently looking for a contract Data Technician to support research projects of digital transformation in the domain applications of glass melting, forming, and coating

　　Job Responsibilities:

　　Acquire, consolidate and validate large datasets from multiple sources through data platform/system such as SQL, AVEVA PI, and Azure Cloud, etc.Perform data transformation and processing thru codingDocument data variables from different on-prem data sources and in Cloud, transformation, and merge rulesMange, orchestrate and troubleshoot data flows in CloudWork with AVEVA PI systems: build and manage PI Views, build AF structuresAssist in compilation of research reports and communication of research findings in project meetingsTravels to manufacturing plants for project launch and execution may be requiredRequired Skills/Experience:

　　Strong aptitude and willingness to continually learn and expand skill setsDedication to timely and detailed follow-throughGood coding skills in at least one of the programming languages such as Python(preferred), PySpark, and Scala. Knowing C# will be a plus.Basic experience with relational databases and SQL scriptingExperienced in ExcelGood interpersonal and communication skillsAdditional Desirable Skills:

　　Knowledge of AVEVA PIKnowledge of Microsoft AzureKnowledge of SparkFundamental knowledge in statistics and engineeringKnowledge of glass making and vacuum coating processesEducation:

　　Minimum - Bachelor Degree in a STEM major (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant fields)EEO Employer
