Responsibilities

　　Full time position in the Department of Neurosurgery with a clinical focus on Neuro Trauma. As part of a collaborative interdisciplinary healthcare team, the APP would participate in assessment, diagnostic evaluation, surgical and post-operative care of patients. The majority of the position will be ambulatory-based. Inpatient care would be centered at Strong Memorial and FF Thompson Hospital, specifically patient care rounds. Experience in Neurosurgery or Neurology is desired. National certification required within 3 months of hire. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

　　Qualifications

　　Nurse Practitioner

　　Require a Master’s degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.

　　Physician Assistant

　　Requires completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active/pending New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA ( National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

　　NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relations skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

　　Pay Range

　　Pay Range: $44.71 -$67.07

　　The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
