Our specialized epilepsy program provides those with epilepsy in the Intermountain West access to the latest research and treatment options. The APP will be expected to see epilepsy patients in clinic return visits, along with new patient visits for first-time seizure and hospital follow-up. The APP will also perform admissions to the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at IMC, including admission orders, daily rounding, and discharging patients.

The APP will provide care to patients with neuromodulation devices, such as vagus nerve stimulators (VNS), responsive neurostimulators (RNS), and deep brain stimulation (DBS). This care will include managing patient communication and message logs. The APP will also partner with our registered nurses in epilepsy surgical tracking.

After initial onboarding, the APP can expect to work four 10-hour-days a week; days split between the outpatient clinic and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. The APP can also anticipate occasional weekend rounding coverage.
