Arlluk Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company , is seeking a Network Engineer to support ATS and our government customer in Fort Detrick, MD.

The Network Engineer will help manage and maintain the NMRC network from individual desktops to the enterprise network to keep the networks operating at peak performance and maintain accessibility for end-users.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for creating and deleting network accounts, password management.
Responsible for configuration management of firewall, Intrusion Prevention System/Intrusion Detection System (IPS/IDS), routers, Wireless Access Points, Wireless Controllers, Network Access Control devices, Virtual Private Network devices, and switches
Support and maintain network devices, upgrade network devices, and recommend equipment replacement.
Monitor the network performance to determine current and potential problems and propose network additions and enhancement to improve performance.
Support major network architecture changes such as: new devices deployment and movement, network architecture redesign, hardware configuration changes, wireless deployments, implementation/modification of test/development/medical device enclaves.
Support and maintain the operating systems, patches, upgrades, information Assurance (IA) requirements of all systems within the NMRC.
Ensure that these systems are online and shall provide documentation of any network failure impact to the organization and resolution within 24 hours of the event.
Submit a weekly network status report.
Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Candidates must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a successful background investigation.
Security+ or equivalent
Preferred CCNA, CCNP
Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF and EIGRP
In-depth understanding and practical knowledge of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, routers, and printers
Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot Wi-Fi and security infrastructure.
Excellent attention to detail
Problem-solving and critical thinking
Ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms.
Good multitasking abilities

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
