Join our team at the forefront of advancing communication systems for the Defense Intelligence Enterprise. This role is part of a dynamic program focused on Engineering and Operations, driving continuous improvements in the design, transition, operations, and service of LAN, WAN, and Unified Communication services across classifed and unclassified networks.
As a Network Administrator, your responsibilities extend beyond routine tasks. At Tier II, you will handle complex customer support, addressing incidents that could not be resolved at Tier I. This involves not only incident management but also a nuanced approach to problem management, delving into deeper analyses when necessary to identify and address significant issues.
Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:
Provide customer desktop support when required (e.g., hardware failures).Provide incident management alongside problem management for analysis of incidents that indicate a larger problem.Use information provided by Tier 1 and log additional information as needed.Use administrative acscess to network components to research errors, incidents, problemsProvide incident analysis and identification of potential problems.Resolve service requests.Escalate service requests to Tier 3, if necessary.Route service requests to the appropriate organization required for incident resolution.Enter solutions into the solutions database.May manage projects / processes.Coach and reviews the work of more junior professionals.Influence others regarding system design, solutions, and procedures.Some positions may require shift work.Required Experience, Education, Skills and Technologies:
Years of experience with one of the following:
High School/GED plus seven (7) years of relevant experience
Associate degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience
Master's degree plus one (1) year of relevant experience
DOD 8140 certification(s): IAT II, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Security +
Security Clearance Level:
TS/SCI or TS/SCI with CI Polygraph (preferred)Work Schedule:
