　　SAIC is seeking an experienced U.S. Navy Surface Warfare Officer to provide surface warfare expertise in support of high-level training to Carrier Strike Groups, Expeditionary Strike Groups, Amphibious Ready Groups/Marine Expeditionary Units, and other military forces in San Diego, CA .

　　JOB DESCRIPTION :

　　You will be part of a small team of highly focused experts who research, develop, present, and facilitate complex war games and other fleet training requirements for strike group commanders and staffs. The place of performance is San Diego, CA, with occasional travel to Fleet Concentration Areas.

　　JOB DUTIES :

　　As a training facilitator for Surface Warfare (SUW), you will:

　　Support development and execution of advanced military war games, scenario-based training, and other curricula as part of fleet training requirements for Carrier Strike Groups, Expeditionary Strike Groups, Amphibious Ready Groups, and Marine Expeditionary Units, to include both the command elements, adjacent units, and subordinate commanders and staffs.

　　Research and develop war game training scenarios, input them into modeling and simulation (M&S) systems, and operate M&S and C4I systems to role play any elements required to give the training audience an immersive training environment.

　　Maintain professional knowledge and currency in SUW developments.

　　Provide SME support in the latest USN doctrine, tactics, & all related systems for SUW.

　　Liaise with other Navy centers of excellence on latest tactics, techniques, and procedures for SUW.

　　Qualifications

　　REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE :

　　Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 10 years demonstrated expertise in planning, implementation and execution of surface warfare tactics, direction and employment of units, and coordination requirements between US Navy and coalition warships, warfare commanders, subordinate units, and higher headquarters.

　　Expert understanding of US Navy Composite Warfare Commander doctrine and execution.

　　DoD Secret clearance

　　Minimum warfare qualification - US Navy cruiser/destroyer/ TAO (Tactical Action Officer) or equivalent warfare watch officer designation.

　　Experience as officer on DESRON staff, CSG staff, ARG staff, or ESG staff desired.

　　In-depth understanding of warfare staff decision-making process, battle rhythm, roles, and responsibilities

　　Expert knowledge of US Navy and potential threat warship capabilities and limitations.

　　Experience translating training objectives into a comprehensive training exercise.

　　Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
