SUMMARY
The National Service Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of services to customers by managing the operations of the service team including the Field Service Technicians and Administrative Staff.
Maintain/improve customer relationships
Manage aftersales Service Contracts
Establish and maintain appropriate and consistent technical support documentation and materials including policies and procedures.
Manage the overall operations of the national Field Service team to ensure customer expectations and commitments are met or exceeded.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints to bring about quick and effective resolutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Overall supervisory responsibility for process improvement
Data collection and analysis, reporting
Cost/expense containment for the Technical Service Department
Define and maintain measurements and standards, including service levels.
Customer base maintenance
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Field Service Technicians and Administrative Staff.
Work with all other Department Managers to optimize company performance and profitability.
Scheduling of Technicians
Occasionally travel to visit with Field Service Technicians, Customers, and other company personnel
QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of management/supervisory experience
Project management experience and a background in quality concepts
Excellent analysis and structured problem solving skills
Strong Customer Service/Technical Support background
Excellent Communication skills to include, verbal & written interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead, direct, and manage staff to optimize performance and meet or exceed company goals.
Strong negotiation, presentation skills, with an ability to generate and explain guidelines, procedures, priorities, and proposals.
Effective ability to plan, organize, and direct programs.
