Job Title: Mortgage Controller
The Mortgage Controller is responsible for leading the mortgageaccounting process and providing oversight of certain financial,accounting and administrative functions of the mortgage divisions. Theincumbent has the responsibility to prepare and analyze financialresults for both mortgage production and servicing and provideaccounting/financial support to senior management with a focus on timelyand accurate reporting. The incumbent will directly supervise mortgageaccounting and finance associates as assigned. The Mortgage Controllercollaborates with peers within mortgage and in Arvest FinancialManagement to ensure adequate financial controls are in place and arefunctioning effectively.

What Youll Do at Arvest: (Other duties may be assigned.)
Provide financial management and support to the Mortgage CFO byassisting with recommendations to strategically enhance the financialperformance of the mortgage business.
Provide direction and leadership to the accounting associates withinmortgage. Ensure mortgage accounting delivers high quality accountingand financial support as measured by accurate and timely reporting.Ensure the accuracy of, and provide general oversight of, general ledgeraccounts related to mortgage.
Plan, direct and coordinate all mortgage accounting and financialreporting functions and activities including reconciliation approval,general ledger entries approval and other financial reporting. Assesscurrent mortgage accounting activities and offers recommendations forimprovement. Implement new processes as the need arises.
Assist with financial analyses of complex issues within mortgageincluding whole loan sales, MSR (Mortgage Servicing Rights) sales,hedging activities and valuation of loan and MSR pipelines and/orportfolios. Ensure appropriate evaluation accounting and measurementprocesses are in place and are well documented.
Ensure appropriate financial management controls are in place forinternal, external and regulatory financial reports. Ensure reports areprepared in accordance with applicable internal policies and proceduresand where appropriate adhere to generally accepted accounting principlesand/or other requirements.
Develop associates and a positive work environment by encouragingteamwork, open communication, recognizing performance and addressingopportunities for improvement.
Maintain professional relationships with outside consultants, advisorsand third-party vendors to ensure continuation of the Arvest reputationand brand.
Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and thebank\'s BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. This includesbut is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere tointernal procedures and controls; report any known violations ofcompliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspiciouscustomer and/or account activity.
