Mold Setup

　　Shift: Days (7am-7pm) or Nights (7pm-7am) Position summary:

　　Plans and performs a normal range of mold set-up, process set-up and adjustments, material replenishment, etc. of plastic injection materials, improving efficiency and assuring quality specifications are met.

　　Essential functions:

　　Setup molds per manufacturing requirements

　　Load material and clean hoppers

　　Mount and clamp tools in machine

　　Keep work area equipment clean and in accurate working condition.

　　Work in tandem with peers to achieve setup time targets.

　　Obtain proper mold book and gauges for designated mold job.

　　Perform minor repairs on setup as advised.

　　Works with Maintenance Technicians to assure maximum machine up-time.

　　Performs all other tasks assigned by team leader as necessary.

　　Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma: technical associate degree preferred.

　　2-5 yrs experience in injection molding and set up experience preferred.

　　Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of injection molding and troubleshooting

　　Ability to work from drawings, sketches, and process sheets.

　　Blueprint Reading

　　Ability to use specifications, charts and tables.

　　Proven understanding of machine capacities of injection molding machines

　　Strong problem-solving abilities.

　　Must be familiar with Microsoft Windows operating systems.

　　Physical Requirements:

　　(0%=Never; 10-20% = Rarely; 11-35% = Occasionally; 36-65%= Frequently; 66-100%=Continuously)

　　Light physical effort, normally 10-20 lbs. = Frequently

　　Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. = Occasionally

　　Good manual dexterity = Continuously

　　Good vision required = Continuously

　　Standing at workstation for long periods of time, in excess of 8 hours = Frequently
