Description:
The OT Functional Lead is responsible to drive all Modernization Program Operations Technology Workstream actions and tasks. They are responsible for OT technical definition and design to support all projects. They work with Program Leadership to assure quality, standardized OT infrastructure within all sites. Along with design and standards, the lead will perform resource reviews to meet Program schedule needs and report deviations to Program Leadership.
All projects will be reviewed by the OT Functional lead to assure implementation of ADM defined standards in all projects and bill of materials [BOM]. All deviations will be escalated and mitigation will be completed under this role.
The Lead role will proactively seek opportunities to optimize standardization and documentation requirements of the FEED and Execution Phases. They will also coordinate with CapEx Project Managers at the plant level to acquire funding through the CapEx Process.
Position will report directly to Program Director with dotted line to Global OT Director to maintain global standards and alignment.
The ADM Modernization Program [Program Aurora] is an ADM Operations Initiative to modernize our strategic facilities through Automation and Optimization. Utilizing technology and ADM expertise, we will reduce unplanned downtime, support safety initiatives, increase OEE and standardize our processes across our business units. The Program is an enabler for ADM’s Digital Transformation.
Job Requirements:
Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements.
Ownership of the Program scheduled OT milestones.
Lead development of project scope for OT.
Review and provide input on OT engineering and construction proposals.
Review, validate and approve OT technical documentation.
Validate OT standards implemented in all projects.
Participation in all FEL, weekly or milestone meetings critical to scope, schedule, and budget
Identify, mitigate and escalate project risks, issues and decisions needed.
Review and approve commissioning/start-up plan for OT.
Responsible for overseeing 3rd party installations and contractors for OT scope of work.
Ability to analyze master program schedule for resource needs and provide recommendations.
Create standard process practices to be followed and implement corrective measures when deviation occurs.
Recommend the use of company and contract resources equally to support projects deliverables and timelines.
Utilize capital project guidelines to receive approved funding.
Ability to work well within groups or with minimal supervision to meet project goals.
Ability to work with local site resources for documentation and required deliverables.
Effectively communicate process updates and provide suggestions for improvements.
Ability to effectively coach and develop other colleagues.
Strategic mindset for critical decision making.
Understanding of Process Automation Systems
Knowledge of ADM documentation standards, especially in Automation systems, CMMS, and P&IDs.
The candidate must be capable of working in extreme temperatures. Must have the ability to climb stairs, lift and move a minimum of 40 pounds, and sit and stand for long periods of time. Should be able to work in confined spaces and heights.
Occasional company travel required, up to 20%
Preferred Experience/Education:
Bachelor’s degree in IT/MIS/OT/GT required
10+ years working in OT environment
7+ years of leading OT Teams
In depth knowledge of OT infrastructure and design
Understanding of best practices in OT environment including security solutioning
Experience with Front End Loading [FEL] Processes
Experience with AFE processes
5+ years of experience in Project Management
PMP certification a plus
Knowledge of ADM Business Unit Segments and Sub-Segments
Ability to lead diverse, remote projects
Working with cross-functional teams to achieve deliverables
Ability to control competing priorities in a dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to drive results in a team environment
Strong communication and mentoring skills
This position will be located in North America
