Description
LinQuest is seeking a Missile Warning / Missile Tracking (SME) to support Headquarters Space Operations Command (HQ SpOC) Deputy Commanding General of Operations (DCG-O) S3/3M located at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. This position assists in developing, reviewing, coordinating and integrating multiple missions, both Overhead and Ground Based, within the Mission Area Team to include bringing on new systems and integrating existing systems from sister services.
The HQ SpOC generates, presents, and sustains combat-ready intelligence, cyber, space and combat support forces and serves as the USSF Service Component to USSPACECOM.
As a Missile Warning / Missile Tracking SME you will:
Review Technical Orders (TOs) for accuracy, logic, and readability
Coordinate Prime Item Development Specifications (PIDS) or other requirements documentation for operational applicability
Develop Concepts of Operation (CONOPS) and Operating Concepts (OPCONs)
Utilize technical and staffing expertise in drafting documents such as point, position, bullet background, and white papers, memorandums for record, and in-depth presentations
Produce products and/or recommendations relevant to Missile Warning / Missile Tracking systems
Capture government positions and operational intent in documents communicating issues with internal and external customers
Resolve operational concerns associated with the missile warning, missile defense, and space domain awareness mission areas
Actively participate in meetings associated with multi-mission GBRs, Overhead and ground assets, and Mobile Units
Travel may be required for limited durations to support Customer events
Required Skills/Experience:
An active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position
3+ years of Missile Warning / Missile Tracking experience
Field Command or Headquarters experience
BA/BS degree (5+ years of relevant experience may substitute)
Experience with providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities by levels of importance in a dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to deliver technically correct, timely and senior leader quality products
Proficiency with MS Office Suite
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Headquarters experience in the US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, SpOC, STARCOM or equivalent
Working knowledge of Emergency Depot Level Maintenance, Urgent Depot Level Maintenance, Trial Period, Operational Acceptance and Operational Test processes
ETMS2 or Task Management Tool proficiency
Familiarity with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)
Familiarity with Planning, Programming, Budget and Execution (PPBE) experience at the MAJCOM level or higher
Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from approximately $100,000 to $110,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.Why LinQuest?
