As our Mine Project Engineer, you will oversee and coordinate project budgeting, scheduling and reporting, infrastructure design and execution, and QA/QC aspects of UG capital projects and initiatives at an underground hard rock mining operation. You'll start each day organizing, scheduling, and prioritizing work activities to promote a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. POSITION SUMMARYThe successful candidate will manage all aspects of Greens Creek Mine's Project Engineering. The Projects Engineer will oversee and coordinate project budgeting, scheduling and reporting, infrastructure design and execution, and QA/QC aspects of UG capital projects and initiatives.
Projects range from the simple to complex and encompass all facets of the operation from the surface physical plant to underground infrastructure installations. May include, but not limited to: backfill distribution, utility distribution, mine dewatering, muck storage, transport and logistics (infrastructure raises, automation), mine ventilation and general mine process improvements. Preparation of yearly capital and operating budgets, preparation of expenditure authority documentation, and oversight of procurement processes required for project execution. This position reports to the Chief Mine Engineer.
