ResponsibilitiesDeliver and distribute finished doors and millwork throughout theNortheast Area, servicing lumber yard and job site deliveries as thereare multiple stops throughout the day. Ensure safe loading, handling,and transportation and delivery of undamaged door units and/or relatedproduct. Driver will be responsible for unloading doors in a safemanner. Drive truck to destination applying commercial drivingregulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations.Complete necessary paperwork and relay any customer questions orcomplaints to supervisor. Inspect for any defects or problems that mightarise before and after trips and submit reports indicating truckcondition. Maintain vehicle in safe operating condition includingservice with fuel, oil, and water. Maintain applicable logs and recordsaccording to DOT regulations, Record of Duty Status (RODS). Assistassociates in loading and unloading trucks or building loads as needed.Secure cargo for transit. Maintain a clean truck- our trucks are updatedand none are older than 2016. Maintain good housekeeping in work area.Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmentalawareness, and continuous process improvement. Drive a light vehicle, such as a smalltruck or van, with a capacity of less than 26,000 pounds Gross VehicleWeight (GVW), primarily to deliver or pick up merchandise or to deliverpackages. May load and unload vehicle. This position will requiredeliveries to NYC and the 5 Boroughs, LI, NJ, MA, RI, CT, VT, and NH.Qualifications Basic Qualifications: HS Diploma, GED or two (2) yearsequivalent work experience. Must have a valid Class A commercialdriver\'s license (CDL) and possess the ability to safely operatetransportation equipment (i.e., tractor/trailer combinations). Two (2)years truck driving experience required. Must have working knowledge ofDOT regulations and meet BC driver qualifications. Performs duties inall weather conditions.
