　　Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is seeking an experienced Engineer Systems 2 to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of complex systems. The Engineer Systems 2 will work closely with other engineers, project managers, and customers to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.

　　What You Will Do

　　Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

　　Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

　　Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

　　Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

　　Design, develop, and test complex systems

　　What You Must Have

　　2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

　　Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices

　　Experience working on ships

　　Strong Proficiency in 2D & 3D AutoCAD

　　Experience with system analysis and requirements development

　　Knowledge of multiple disciplines including piping, HVAC, structure, and electrical systems

　　Experience with system integration and testing

　　Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues

　　Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

　　Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

　　Ability to work independently and as part of a team

　　Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance

　　Bonus Points For Having!

　　Familiarity with IDEA CAD Standards

　　Prior experience working with NNS, NNSY, Ingalls, and PSNS Shipyards

　　Physical Requirements

　　Office, industrial, or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving materials may be required.
