　　SUMMARY OF DUTIES:Develop and manage all engineering programs and policies relating to operation of bridge condition measuring systems. Responsible for the development and implementation of an automated bridge inspection program. Research and develop new technologies in monitoring bridge condition assessment. Ensure employee development and safety programs that support the Amtrak business plan.

　　ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Develop and Manage the operation of Amtrak's bridge condition measuring program.Oversee the introduction of new technologies required to meet Amtrak's bridge maintenance and inspection needs.Schedule and control the maintenance and purchase of bridge inspection equipment.Ensure highest quality bridge inspections through management, data and technical analysis.Keep current with the latest practices and procedures through professional organizations and other high speed passenger railroads both domestic and abroad.

　　The salary/hourly range is$124,600 - $161,352. Payis based on several factors includingbut not limited to education, work experience,certifications,internal equity,etc.Depending on an employee's assigned worksite orlocation, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee's basesalary.
