General Responsibilities
The Merchant Solutions Advisor is responsible for developing relationships with clients across a variety of industries that need merchant processing solutions in the northwest side of Puerto Rico. Develop prospects via referral basis or identify potential business opportunities through "cold calls" or "canvassing" targeted industries and regions. Adopts a consultative approach to ensure that solutions provided allow clients to process payments in an effective and cost-efficient manner. Develops and maintains relationships with assigned Banking Branches, Small Businesses, and other assigned partners across a geographic footprint and supports bringing the Evertec suite of merchant services solutions to clients to close business opportunities. Manage the existing portfolio of merchant clients looking for ways to examine the business, drive more volume, deploy more products, and responsibly retain and grow revenue. Demonstrates, and maintains a deep understanding and broad knowledge of merchant pricing, software, gateways, and security as well as expert industry knowledge in Retail, Restaurant, Business to Business, and other potential business segments. Analyzes potential client's current fee structure for card processing and offers effective solution alternatives to improve their payment processing function. Stays abreast of the latest Payment Solutions, market trends, equipment, and best practices to "up-sell" new technologies and features while strengthening client retention. Monitor industry competitors, new products, and market conditions. Trains new customers and their staff on payment processing methods and equipment use.
Performs duties through methods and actions that are consistently ethical and in total compliance with the laws, applicable regulations, Code of Ethics, corporate policies and guidelines and rules of conduct. Completes corporate trainings and certifications intended for the detection and prevention of money laundering related activities and fraud, insider training and conflict of interest policies and procedures, as applicable.
Education and Experience Required
•Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business Administration from an accredited four-year college or university.
•Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in merchant/payment solutions.
•Must have a consultative approach to offer encompassing payment/technical solutions to satisfy client's payment needs.
•Must be available to attend the Northwest area clients and prospects.

• Communicate effectively both oral and written in Spanish and English.
• Ability to analyze complex data, situations, and problems to identify root causes to design and implement adequate solutions according to the problems or tasks assigned.
• Thinks outside the box to address technical issues, managerial situations, employees' performance, and financial or business-related situations, according to the role assigned. •Use creative and innovative thinking to identify and implement solutions on time, assuring customer satisfaction and business efficiency.
• Pays full attention and takes time to understand the points being made and demonstrates understanding.
•Asks questions appropriately and does not interrupt at inappropriate times.
• Planning & Time Management: Ability to organize the activities required to achieve a desired goal.
• Identifies objectives, resources, milestones, deadlines, and accountable persons.
• Develop the means required to accomplish the objectives, monitor the steps and resources, and evaluate the results.
• Ability to organize tasks effectively to finish them on time and with minimum follow-up.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services; this includes marketing tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
• Complete adequately the sales cycle.
•Ability to manage proficiently basic functions of the computer and all related devices, such as keyboard, printer, storage, and projectors.
• Able to work with corporate software, including but not limited to word processing, numerical and statistical applications, presentations, communications software, and applications.

Additional Information
Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Available to work extended hours, weekends and/or holidays as needed and the availability to travel as required supporting projects in the region.
