At Amazon we do highly support continued learning opportunities and focus on continued employee development.As the MEP/ICT BIM Design Manager in the Americas Region, you will be a part of highly creative and efficient team tasked with tackling the most fascinating and challenging problems in designing, building, and operating Amazon owned Data Center facilities within the Americas. As part of the Management team, you will be responsible for working with the organization's leadership to implement the strategy for our designs and business processes by helping to develop our Innovation and Strategic road-map, define our goals, and execute the tactics for your team.Key job responsibilitiesDaily responsibilities will include managing designers of mechanical, electrical and telecommunication systems of Data Centers, those utilizing Revit to create and maintain BIM models. This includes working with internal groups as well as external suppliers and consultants, manufacturers, vendors, and contractors. Your duties will include:* Be self-motivated and lead a MEP/ICT BIM Design group as well as within other teams.* Review and provided comment for detailed Mechanical, Electrical and Telecommunication Revit project models and documents.* Assist with creating and maintaining BIM templates and enforce BIM standards.* Staffing and developing your team by through hiring, career development, conducting performance reviews and continuously improving the way your team operates through implementing LEAN principles.* Manage schedules and budgets.* approving drawings, developing new standards, and working closely with your counterparts in the other Engineering regions, disciplines, and interfacing teams.* Lead the project team with information exchange processes between internal and external customers.* Direct development and reporting of key metrics to management.* Travel to Data Center sites for engineering evaluations and surveys as required.
