Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Escort patient to a treatment room when requested, observing vital signs and report findings.
· Obtain vital signs, when requested and report findings immediately to the registered nurse.
· Must have broad knowledge and skills related to the developmental stage of pediatric, adult and the special needs of the geriatric population.
· Assist in patient preparation for exam and treatment.
· Assist in resuscitation efforts under the direct supervision of the RN and Physician.
· Assist the RN with special procedures by supporting the patient and assisting with positioning.
· Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher or bed with attention to safety and patient comfort.
· Clean and stock treatment rooms each shift with appropriate supplies and linens.
· Understand and adhere to universal precautions and blood fluid and blood fluid precautions by the appropriate use and disposal of personal protective equipment.
· Perform ureteral catheterization on male or female patients under the direct supervision of the RN and with attention to sterile technique.
· Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· One or more years’ emergency department experience preferred.
· Experienced Paramedic/EMT in the EMS field preferred.
Compensation for roles at Azure Acres varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Azure Acres provides a reasonable hourly range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California set forth below.

Calculated Hourly Range for role:California: $19.71 - $27.60 per hour
