We currently have an opening for a Medical Records Specialist to join our team of caring professionals.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Reactivating or setting up paperwork from admissions to create a medical record file.
Performing record audits.
Assisting physicians in locating records.
Maintaining accurate logs, card files, statistics and information release forms for providing medical record information.
Keeping supervisor informed of issues, activities, progress and problems.
Filing patient index card and maintain the file on a current status per procedure.
Performing assigned duties for the receipt of information from other hospitals or clinicians.
Updating daily master log of patient numbers on a daily basis.
Assuring medical record is completed prior to filing/re-filing and update log accurately.
Ensuring completed typed documents are placed in medical records daily.
Maintaining daily log of patient admissions within time frame in which documents are due.
Ensuring logs and card files have updated current status of patient.
