Position Summary: Perform document imaging and conversion tasks in accordance with federal, state and department quality control standards and procedures; ensures proper documentation and integrity of scanned images Education, License & Cert: Minimum high school education or GED equivalent, with on the job training to acquire knowledge of the various department policies and procedures. Experience: Experience with medical record documents and/or processing protected health information is recommended. Previous experience with an electronic health record is a plus. Above average computer and typing skills required. Completion of medical terminology basic is a plus Essential Functions: 1. Collect Verify and prep documents for the scanning process per department procedure 2. Scan, verify and upload of documents into electronic health record 3. Perform clerical duties such as maintaining retrieving or scanning of all records, files and documents of importance 4. Confirm commitment of all documents to the electronic health records 5. Answer phone and assist caller or redirect to appropriate personnel for assistance 6. Sort/ open and distribute documents received via mail/courier Other Duties: 1. Assist others in completing tasks for timely completion of our essential functions 2. Destroy/ Recycle scanned documents based on department destruction policy
