　　Avera St. Luke’s Hospital is looking for a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our Team!

　　** This positon may be eligible for a $15,000 sign on bonus with a 3 year commitment.

　　Perform a broad range of laboratory testing in a hospital setting.

　　Fully automated, CAP-accredited laboratory.

　　Job Summary

　　Staff will be expected to work in the microbiology section primarily with plate reading and culture setup.

　　Responsible for supplying inventory, quality control, reagent preparation, etc.

　　Initiate and follow through with corrective action as well as manages workflow.

　　Communicate laboratory data and pertinent technical information to appropriate departments, healthcare providers and individuals in both verbal and electronic means.

　　Participate in development of procedures, protocols, lab manuals, new instrumentation, lab CQI or other activities as assigned.

　　Education and/or Experience

　　Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science and completion of NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Scientist program is required.

　　Licensure/Certification/Registration

　　Certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist from the ASCP, AMT, or equivalent required within 12 months of hire.

　　Work Schedule

　　Day Shifts; 72hours 2 weeks

　　6:00 am - 2:30 pm, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm

　　Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation

　　Pay

　　The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

　　$27.50 - $41.50 per hour
