Weare seeking a dynamic and experienced physician to join our team as theMedical Director, Risk Adjustment. This key leadership role will play acrucial part in advancing our commitment to value-based care programs andensuring the highest standards of clinical documentation improvement.

  As the Medical Director, Risk Adjustment, you will be responsible fordeveloping a clinical documentation improvement (CDI) program for anational team of nearly 200 nurse practitioners. This position requires aseasoned physician with extensive knowledge of value-based care programs,risk adjustment methodologies, and CDI practices.

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  Clinical Documentation Improvement:Design and implement strategies to enhance clinical documentation processes,ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities forimprovement and implement targeted interventions.Regularly reviews data, analytics and individual Provider charts to identifyareas of opportunity and partners with business leadership to understandvariances and drive clinical improvement

  Risk Adjustment Strategy Expertise:Act as the clinical dyad for our risk adjustment business team, operating asthe clinical lead for the development and execution of our risk adjustmentstrategyUtilize your extensive knowledge of risk adjustment methodologies to driveinitiatives that improve coding accuracy and completeness.Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices relatedto risk adjustment and value-based care programs.

  Education and Training:Develop and deliver educational programs to enhance the understanding of riskadjustment and clinical documentation improvement among physicians and nursepractitioners.Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to address identified areasfor improvement.

  Quality Assurance:Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to clinicaldocumentation quality.Implement quality assurance processes to ensure ongoing compliance andaccuracy.Reviews new IT tools and algorithms to support CDI and Risk Adjustment andprovides feedback regarding application, roll-out and risks

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE10+ years experienceDoctoral DegreeNephrology experience preferred5+ years practicing clinician in inpatient and ambulatory settingsProven experience in risk adjustment and value-based care programs.Previous leadership experience managing teamsStrong understanding of clinical documentation improvement processes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
