　　Position: Medical Director

　　The Attending Physician reports to the Senior Director of Clinical Support. The Attending Physician ensures all regulatory and best practice guidelines are followed and is responsible for the overall care and clinical practice. The Attending Physician also provides information that helps others (including team members, residents & families) understand the care medical interventions and recommendations.

　　Qualifications:

　　Attending Physician with 1-5 years experience.

　　Attending Physician in Long-Term Care  for at least 1 year

　　Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.

　　Proven adherence to strict confidentiality

　　Demonstrated excellence in effectively organizing and prioritizing work assignments in a fast-paced office environment and meeting short timelines

　　Major Responsibilities:

　　Weekly in person rounds on site .

　　Provides on call support for the home.

　　Provides medical expertise and support for complex resident medical needs, including but not limited to, acute and chronic diagnosis, palliation and adverse medical episodes.

　　Oversees the monitoring, measurement and quality improvement of medical care at Manoir Marochel , while supports in the development of medical strategies for exceptional resident centred care;

　　Commits to continuing medical education and maintaining current knowledge and practice in geriatrics and gerontology, and supporting associating education opportunities.

　　Provide medical liaison with local hospital(s) and other appropriate health care organizations or facilities, for all current residents.

　　Works effectively and efficiently with members of the interdisciplinary team including the Nurse Practitioner  to ensure the highest level of care is provided to residents.
