　　Robert Half is looking for an experienced Medical Collections Specialist with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail. This long-term contract Medical Collections Specialist position is available in the Costa Mesa, California area. 　　Major responsibilities

　　Handling inbound and outbound medical collections calls.

　　Working with insurance companies, government payors, and patients to resolve payments and accounts that are past due.

　　Calling on all past due amounts for patients and insurance organizations and documenting account changes within the system.

　　Maintaining and updating patient accounts accordingly.

　　Obtaining the maximum amount of reimbursement by evaluating claims at the contract rate with the use of the contract management tool for proper pricing

　　Requirements

　　HS Diploma or Equivalent

　　One year of previous hospital business experience, or equivalent required or strong background in customer service.

　　Basic experience with insurance plans, hospital reimbursement methodology, and/or ICD10 and CPT coding.

　　Candidate needs to have home health/hospice billing and claim follow-up experience
