Pay to commensurate with experienceThe Medical Assistant may provide direct patient care to the pediatric, adolescent, or adult population served within the ambulatory setting. The MA will provide the highest quality of care. Interventions/tasks performed by the MA adhere to approved standards of care as defined by Ohio Department of Health and Nationwide Children?s Hospital?s guidelines, policies, procedures and standards. In compliance with the Ohio Administrative Code (set forth at OAC 4731-23-02(B), a Medical Assistant is considered an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP).Why Nationwide Children's Hospital?What is Primary Care?The Primary Care Network provides care to children from birth to age twenty-one at clinics across the city. Purposefully situated in underserved areas where care is needed the most, we provide a multitude of services to our patients and families:Well Visits and ImmunizationsWalk-in Sick Clinics (at select locations)Sick VisitsScreenings (depression, hearing/vision, development, social needs, etc.)ADHD ManagementSocial Work and Psychology servicesBlood workLactation consultation (at select locations)...and much moreThe licensed medical staff of our Primary Care clinics are responsible for preparing the patient for their appointment by asking the parent/guardian questions to ascertain their reason for visit, take vital signs, perform screening assessments, etc. Once the provider has completed their portion of the visit, licensed medical staff carry out administering immunizations or other ordered medications, performing in-house testing, obtaining laboratory specimens, providing education, etc.Our Primary Care staff not only provide medical care and help address social needs for the families we care for, but relationships develop over the years - you will be able to see the difference your care will make.NO HOLIDAYS OR WEEKENDS REQUIRED!Opportunities to pick up extra hours are available once completed with orientation.Why Nationwide Children's Hospital?The moment you walk through our doors, you feel it.
