The MA will provide the highest quality of care. Interventions/tasks performed by the MA adhere to approved standards of care as defined by Ohio Department of Health and Nationwide Children?s Hospital?s guidelines, policies, procedures and standards. A Place to Be Proud.Responsibilities1. Provides excellent service to both internal and external customers by applying best practices and standard operating procedures.2. Prepares correspondence, documents, reports and other materials which may be moderately complex or confidential, sometimes requiring independent judgment.3. Schedules appointments and provides follow up and reminder calls.4. Assists with various clinical tasks that include rooming of patients, vital signs, heights and weights, and any applicable screening questions.5. Provides basic, supportive care pertaining to nutrition, mobility, and elimination.6. Collects and reports data to a licensed Professional, including any abnormal findings and documents all findings in the medical record.7. Administers only medications approved for an MA to administer at Nationwide Children's.8. Takes direction and delegation of orders and/or tasks from a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse that is within the training and scope of the Medical Assistant.9.
