Join us.#LI-TS1 ATI is currently looking for a Welding Leader to join ourfacility located in Cudahy, WI. The Welding Leader is responsible formaintaining part movement priorities and the analyzation of salvagedparts to determine rework based on means and method of repair, cost,timeline, and customer specifications. In order to become successful andprovide immediate impact, you will have to quickly learn ATI\'sfacility, processes and culture. You will work collaboratively withcross-functional teams including a unionized workforce, engineering,quality, and safety. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills,the ability to act quickly and make impactful decisions, and exceptionalinterpersonal skills are essential in the skillset of a successfulWelding Leader. PRIMARY ACTIVITIES: Supervises and coordinates the workof welding and torch cutting employees to assure specifications,methods, and safety of personnel and equipment are met. Evaluate andmonitor the initial measurements of dimensional accuracy in departmentof finished weldments and torch cut fabricated materials. Providenecessary support to ensure continued compliance to ISO 9002/AS 9100A.Preplan and instruct employees through safety meetings, job safetyobservations, job safety analysis, and safety cards to strive for a goalof zero accidents, consistent with the ATI Forging Safety Program. Trainnew or transferred employees on procedures, safety equipment, safetydevices, and customer requirements to insure a high standard ofworkmanship. Encourage hourly employees to participate in companyprograms to solve problems. Handle first stage grievances to resolve ormake recommendations for next step of grievance procedure. Maintain andcoordinate a good working relationship with support personnel in HammerRepair, Heat Treat, Met. Lab., Engineering, Die Room, Tool Room,Scheduling, Planning and Production Departments to meet customer and ATISpecialty Materials plant requirements. Basic Requirements High SchoolGED or equivalent 2+ years experience in a leadership role or managing ateam 4+ years of experience in welding and welding procedures PreferredAssociates Degree Experience in Shielded metal arc welding, Gas metalarc welding, and/or Submerged arc welding Tool and Die experienceEssential Skills Ability to use ERP software, Microsoft Office, email,and other software used in the production environment Knowledge ofmetallurgy, blueprint reading, OSHA regulations, contractual agreementsSound communication skills Working knowledge of the manufacturingprocesses are necessary to resolve quality and scheduling problems.#LI-TS1 We thrive when...
