FTE: 0.001000 (Pick up shifts) Shift: Shift 1 Summary: AMedical Assistant/LPN is a healthcare professional and an essentialmember of the patient-centered healthcare team. This individual isresponsible for pre-visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities,assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and other duties asassigned. The Medical Assistant/LPN is instrumental in helping thepatient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughoutthe patient\'s visit. The Medical Assistant/LPN may be required to crosstrain and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations. Otherduties as assigned. Medical Assistant Qualifications: One to two yearsof clinical experience is preferred. High school diploma or equivalentrequired. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for theHealthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is requiredwithin 90 days of hire. In addition, individuals must meet one (1) ofthe following combinations of education and experience A. A graduate ofa CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate,Diploma or Certificate). - Additional certification through the AAMAand/or an equal certification board or certification is preferred. B. Agraduate of a non CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate,diploma, or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training. Inaddition to education, one (1) year of formal on the job MedicalAssistant experience preferred. C. Currently possess and are in goodstanding with at least one of the following credentials a. CertifiedMedical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA b. Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) -AMT c. Assessment -Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) d.Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) -NHA LPN Qualifications: Oneto two years of related clinical experience is preferred. Graduate of anaccredited School of Practical Nursing is required. Current LPNlicensure by the state of Wisconsin Department of Regulation andLicensing.
