FTE: 0.900000 Hours: 12 hourshifts on 1st, includes every other weekend 8am-4pm and holiday rotationShift: Shift 1 Summary: A Medical Assistant/LPN is a healthcareprofessional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcareteam. This individual is responsible for pre-visit planning, standardrooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, dischargeinstructions and other duties as assigned. The Medical Assistant/LPN isinstrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaboratingwith the provider throughout the patient\'s visit. The MedicalAssistant/LPN may be required to cross train and float as needed tomaintain optimal clinic operations. Other duties as assigned. MedicalAssistant Qualifications: One to two years of clinical experience ispreferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. American HeartAssociation (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS)or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Inaddition, individuals must meet one (1) of the following combinations ofeducation and experience A. A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accreditedMedical Assistant Program (Associate, Diploma or Certificate). -Additional certification through the AAMA and/or an equal certificationboard or certification is preferred. B. A graduate of a non CAAHEP orABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate, diploma, or Certificate) orMilitary Medic/Corpsman training. In addition to education, one (1) yearof formal on the job Medical Assistant experience preferred. C.Currently possess and are in good standing with at least one of thefollowing credentials a. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - AAMA b.Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - AMT c. Assessment -BasedRecognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) d. Certified Clinical MedicalAssistant (CCMA) -NHA LPN Qualifications: One to two years of relatedclinical experience is preferred. Graduate of an accredited School ofPractical Nursing is required.
