DescriptionPosition SummaryThis position is responsible for independently performing advanced Medical Assistant duties which may include advanced procedures specific to department, coordination of the work for other Medical Assistants, or performing patient or population based care navigation. Facilitates unit operations by managing patient flow. Completely independent with all front desk duties specific to department, including scheduling patients, collecting and verifying patient payor information and other patient documentation. Assists manager with developing and facilitating process improvement initiatives.Required For All JobsPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
