Job Overview:

Provide support to the clinical staff by assisting with patient visits. Direct patient flow in and out of the exam rooms, taking patient vital signs and communicating with clinical staff about pt readiness for visit. Maintain stock in exam rooms, work with administrative staff to ensure supplies are maintained and ordered as needed. Assistant administrative staff as necessary to meet patient needs.

Qualifications:

Required:

Medical Assistant or Patient Care Tech training with knowledge of medical terminology, registration, coding, experience with customer service and medical office responsibilities required.Preferred:

Medical Assistant CertificationCertifications and Licenses Required (if applicable):

Essential Functions:

Inputs data as needed or directed and accurately

Interacts with patients and handles patient inquiries in a professional manner. Responds to inquiry or passes to the appropriate staff member for follow up

Prepares and maintains patient medical records in a neat and orderly manner according to department protocol

Takes patient vital signs and document in patient record.

Travels to other sites as required

Transports medications to and from the pharmacy.
