Description:

　　The Medical Assistant will work at a Family Medical Practice in the Central Columbus area.

　　Will room patients, take vitals, and enter patient information.

　　Will perform clerical duties such as scheduling patients, answering phone calls, documentation, etc.

　　Will help set up procedure rooms for biopsies, women's minor outpatient procedures

　　Will train and work alongside another MA for the first week or two, or longer depending on skills

　　This is a very very busy practice that has 28 exam rooms, 4 pods - 2 MA stations with a computer in each pod, with 2 MAs assigned to each pod. In one day will assist anywhere from 2-4 providers.

　　This is a teaching clinic, meaning first to three year residents are starting their careers here as a provider/physician. Some residents will only see 2-4 patients a day while others will see much higher volume amounts.

　　There are "faculty" providers onsite as well - have been doctors for 10+ years and are permanent providers in this clinic.

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　Looking for an MA with at least a year of recent experience. Must have basic skills including rooming patients, taking vitals, patient care, venipuncture, and blood draws. Must have at least a Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited institution.

　　They do not have to be Certified, although that would be a plus. They would consider an entry-level MA with just the school diploma if they are very passionate about the field, are excited about being in a fast-paced environment, and overall have an exceptional attitude.Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
