　　Nestled in the heart of East Sacramento Dignity Health Mercy General Hospital is a 313 bed acute care facility that provides a wide range of services with special advocacy for the poor and underserved. Mercy General is home to the nationally ranked Alex G. Spanos Heart & Vascular Institute. Key achievements and recognitions include: from the Joint Commission; Advanced Joint Replacement Spine Center of Excellence Primary Stroke Center Ventricular Assist Device and Chest Pain Certification. 　　Responsibilities

　　Position Summary:

　　Our Neuro Care (Medical Acute) unit specializes in the care of patients with neurological conditions and/or disorders such as acute stroke brain injury epilepsy and dementia. Our nurses support the patients in their acute phase of recovery as well as provide supportive care to patients with chronic conditions. They are trained to monitor deviations in neurological status during recovery and or treatment based on the individual’s diagnosis. We have special skills with providing care to our seizure/epilepsy patients who come in to our Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) for continuous EEG monitoring. It is a challenging but rewarding role providing this specialty of care while still prioritizing holistic care. 　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license

　　Six (6) months of experience in a medical/surgical acute care setting as a Registered Nurse

　　Telemetry and ACLS certifications within six (6) months of hire

　　Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

　　Other certifications may be required

　　Pay Range

　　$54.39 - $67.12 /hour
