Visual Merchandising Manager 

　　Salaried Position: Monday through Friday

　　Bachman’s has an opening for a Visual Merchandising Manager. The Visual Merchandising Manager works with the merchandise team to understand strategy, categories, key products and stories. They collate the information and create a model layout that incorporates existing product, new stories and feature seasonally appropriate displays. The Visual Merchandising Manager provides visual planning and direction to the team of visual designers to execute at store level and will partner with Design Room/Planter Production/Garden Maintenance to extend trends and ideas throughout the company.

　　Job Duties:

　　Planning and preparation for major and minor sets, includes meeting with Vice President of Merchandising and all merchants/buyers 

　　Provides direction to Visual Designers on a weekly/monthly basis and provide a high level schedule and set plan while providing merchandising and fixture direction 

　　Merchandise all product to the retail floor environment in a timely, efficient and inspirational manner.

　　Provide positive motivation of Visual Department staff.

　　Assign tasks, work duties to visual merchandising staff to ensure maximum productivity. 

　　Work on added special projects as needed.

　　Bring visual inspiration to Bachman’s stores both independently and as a team.

　　Other duties as assigned. 

　　Qualifications:

　　5+ years retail experience, 5+ years visual merchandising and 5+ years supervisory experience 

　　Strong computer skills, proficient in Word, Excel, and digital photography. CAD skills preferred. 

　　College degree in business, merchandising/marketing or Design, desired 

　　Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and manage multiple tasks at one time

　　Strong verbal and written skills- ability to communicate effectively and clearly

　　Ability to work with all levels of management and employees

　　Provide strong leadership-ability to train, delegate and mentor staffing a positive, professional manner

　　Ability to teach new staff Visual Guidelines 

　　Experience in home décor and interior design

　　Able to lift, carry, climb ladders, etc. 

　　Schedule:

　　Monday-Friday 40-45 hours per week, flex up during key garden season
