Job Description

Positions Contributions to Work Group:
Supporting Structures and Dynamics test for engine components.Willingness to learn FMEA and i-Model Champion functions, FEA structuralsimulation.
Typical task breakdown:
Performing lab tests by following standard test procedures. Occasionallyfield test with travel time up to 25%
Collect test data using data acquisition systems like eDAQ, LMS
Perform modal testing for engine system and components.
Setting up lab or field engine test instrumentation. - Perform analysissuch as vibration severity assessment, weld/bolted joint analysis,parent material fatigue analysis by following standard test procedures.
Communicate test results and recommended fix to design team
Interaction with team:
Will work with team lead and designs engineers on customer side
Wil also work with lab technicians
Will work with work director
Work environment:
Mainly in TC-L Lab.
Potential for travel to other locations
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Three to five yearsengineering experience required (combination of internship experienceand hands on work experience).
Desired: Advanced engineering degree concentrating indynamics/vibrations

**NEEDS TO HAVE TEST EXPERIENCE ON ENGINE**
Top Skills: Engine structures, vibration/durability, testinstrumentation, data processing
Structural dynamics/vibration
NVH testing with a good/comprehensive understanding of instrumentationtechnology, data acquisition technology, vibration and fatigue theory.
Knowledge of internal combustion engines and a familiarity withdynamics/vibration development/testing/analysis is required.
Strong initiative understanding of customer needs and productapplication.
Will need to manage multiple projects concurrently.
