JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description Talgo, Inc. is seeking a MechanicalSupervisorwith a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our Milwaukee,WI team! SUMMARY Supervises and coordinates activities of workersengaged in setting up, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, andmaintaining machinery and equipment by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Otherduties may be assigned. Directs workers in mechanical, hydraulic, andpneumatic repair of machinery and equipment of trainset to conform toTalgo, Inc. specifications and standards. Interprets company policies toworkers and enforces safety regulations in accordance with FRA, OSHA,Talgo and AAR standards. Adjusts work procedures and staffing levels tomeet manufacturing schedules. Initiates or suggests plans to motivateworkers to achieve work goals. Involves all Mechanicals in an on-goingtraining program to maintain and advance technical proficiency ofemployees. Provides feedback on budget issues to the Shop Manager.Recommends measures to improve repair methods, equipment performance andquality of product to Shop Manager. Monitors parts and supply usage onmechanical equipment. Monitors and maintains availability of all toolsrequired for department. Functions as the technical expert on allmechanical systems of Talgo trainset. Provides & support trainingcourses related to mechanical systems. Confers with other supervisors tocoordinate activities of individual departments. SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordancewith the organization\'s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilitiesinclude interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning,assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding anddisciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.The Mechanical Supervisor will assume overall management responsibilityfor the entire maintenance facility in the absence of the Shop Manager.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must beable to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
