This engineering position is responsible for the engineering standards and specifications to apply/use mechanical systems at various facility types within Ford Motor Company portfolio of buildings, and to function as the Subject Matter Expert for Mechanical Engineering (SME-ME) as relates to building codes, regulatory requirements, modularization, commodity strategies, technology advances and sustainable designs.

You will be a part of the Ford Model E business unit by overseeing the design and construction of the next generation of battery manufacturing. Drive the standardization of global processes. Lead in the continuous improvement of facility standards, specifications and technical innovation. Collaborative interaction with Ford Land engineering teams is required. Identify and evaluate new technology, construction methods, and materials to maximize capital investment efficiency and sustainability in corporate infrastructure programs.

Identify and evaluate new technology, construction methods, and materials to maximize capital investment efficiency and sustainability in corporate infrastructure programs Provide SME support with master planning, scope development and design review of construction projects. Provide collaborative SME support to develop appropriate facilities controls strategies for mechanical and electrical systems Manage interactions with government authorities/municipalities/agencies to ensure that facilities comply with local codes, laws and recommended practices. Support and maintain positive relationships with communities in which we operate to enhance long-term working relationship with community officials.

Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with focus on facility-related mechanical system design and operation. 8+ years of facilities engineering or operations infastructure experience

PE Registration preferred AutoCAD, Revit Strong record of technical innovation/contribution/leadership Evidence of continuous growth in technical capabilities and expertise Independent worker and capable of delivering multiple project commitments concurrently Strong customer focus and excellent communication skills, both written and oral Extensive knowledge of MEP systems, controls & technologies to deliver system development and optimization Ability to multi-task and communicate status to teammates as well as customers Willingness to travel on a limited basis to support customer requirements
