JOB SUMMARY

　　This Mechanical Engineer - Packaging Specialist is responsible for providing a variety of technical services across FIFCO USA Brewery operations. Through the installation, maintenance and upgrading of packaging equipment, this position plays a key role in improving technology, performance, safety, cost, and sustainability across the facility.

　　ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

　　Assist the Engineering Manager with developing, designing, and implementing all purchases and upgrades to any new and existing packaging equipment and lines.

　　Review any changes to packaging components and equipment with Brewery Director and Engineering Manager to align facility needs.

　　Collaborate with marketing, brand teams, purchasing and packaging operations on any packaging issues to improve overall product quality.

　　Lead the process of evaluating packaging capital requests and drive implementation of capital improvements across brewery operations.

　　Participate in the design, development, and implementation of all new packaging equipment and productions lines.

　　Work with supply chain leadership team to identify and implement "game changing" opportunities to improve quality, productivity, capabilities, cost, and safety throughout the supply chain organization.

　　Work with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and vendors to improve performance and lower cost on packaging components and equipment.

　　Collaborate with packaging suppliers to define component specifications and resolve issues with them when the specifications are not met.

　　Provide technical leadership to solve medium and long-range packaging-based problems and capability shortfalls improving overall brewery performance.

　　Assist in procurement of equipment and services and participates in negotiations with clients to prepare project specifications.

　　Work with Marketing and brand teams to advise and consult on packaging capability and costs to add or modify equipment capabilities for any upcoming innovation or packaging changes.

　　Will coordinate training with installing technicians and onsite technicians to ensure smooth transition oof equipment and processes.

　　Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.

　　Ensure that packaging projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget by working with both internal resources and third-party vendors.

　　Analyze new technologies to gain an advantage in the marketplace.

　　Must have strong organizational, time management and communication skills.

　　EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

　　BS in Engineering or packaging technology

　　5+ years’ experience in various aspects of packaging, engineering, and maintenance

　　OSHA/GMP

　　AutoCAD / MS Office.

　　In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $65,000-$98,000, not including benefits or potential bonuses. If you are hired at FIFCO USA, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to enable future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous benefits package!
